I'd just sold my company and hadn't really been paid yet. I just had the shares in the now-parent company. I needed to clear my head and come to grips with things because my life had changed very drastically. So, after a week or so I hopped in a car and just started driving around the country. It was 2007. It was the year Greensburg, KS got fucked up by a giant fucking tornado.
That sounds like it became one hell of a trip
Oh, I was fucking trashed the entire time. Greensburg is a dry town, so I had to drive like 70 miles to another county. The speed limit was 75 mph and the whole thing was straight and flat. So, I'd drive with my foot on the floor - completely shitfaced. I lived in the car for much of the time. I had to, as there was nothing left of that poor town. It's not like they had a hotel anymore.
It would suck to live in a dry town or a dry county
