I skated when I was younger and had quite a bit of practice before I got on the ramp.
I can't do it with my hip these days, but I used to be able to pull off a kickflip and could olie over a milk crate without any issues. That was as an adult in his late 40s and early 50s. I'm pretty fit, actually.
Well, no... I'm a little chubby at the moment. I'll burn that off back in Maine.
I never was a skater much when I was a kid besides riding on skateboard being pulled with a tow rope by a bicycle

There's some bumps and bruises along the way, but I only broke a wrist skating. I got off light. My son was more daring, to the point where we knew the ER workers by name.
My oldest son was more daring too, he fractured his skull, he completely broke his humorous, among a whole lot of other injuries, he took it all without much complaining too. My youngest son is much more timid
