I've been trying to eat all the food for the past week or so.
My site has a new article up today. So far, 100 people have visited it today. Not one of 'em clicked a goddamned ad. Assholes.
Still, 100 people in a single day. That's visitors. There have been 927 page views, but that also counts spiders/bots.
Do you normally click on ads when you are interested in an articles topic?
I think most people just ignore ads, they are so ubiquitous. Lots of folks use an ad blocker.
100 people is pretty good, do you promote it?
If I like the site, I unblock the ads and click them. I do that fairly often, actually. I figure it's the nice thing to do and I want to help support the author/content creator.
I did promote it a little on Reddit, but about the same as I always do. The site's traffic has been steadily increasing, especially over the past few days. The site had good traffic yesterday, even though there wasn't any new articles posted that day.
Thats cool, You do it to support the site more so than interest in what is advertised.
If people decide to ditch microsoft en masse your traffic with spike massively
