From what you said it sounds like that venue wants you to play there, so go for it?
Playing at one venue defeats the purpose and ties our future into the venue's future. That's just bad business for this type of band.
And, I shake some hands, say nice things, thank people for showing up, and then just sit around talking with whoever's next to me from the band.
I'm currently next to Biff, she's on her phone. She's gotta go start spinning up some tunes soon.

Nope. Our pay would go down, as well. It'd still be lucrative, but they can't afford to do this every week. They simply don't have enough customers and people can only afford to come out so often.
I'm gonna go do some practicing. I'll be back tomorrow, probably. I doubt I'll be back tonight.
