better not drive it on the edge
LOL I'll get close to it. That's a part of the thrill. I'm also a much, much better driver than I used to be. I was pretty good before, even properly trained by the USMC to operate light and medium weight vehicles. But, performance cars are much different - especially if you want to actually perform in them.
Most folks just own and drive this sort of stuff. Not me... I'll sling it sideways and drift corners. I have a giant circuit that I've memorized, in fact I have several, where I know each and every corner.
I like to time myself to see how long it takes to complete a 'lap'.
It does help a whole lot to know the course, that is for sure.
I have a few of them committed to memory. I like doing it at night, when you can see the headlights from oncoming traffic, but that's also when the moose are out.
We have a whole lot of giant moose. They like to hang out in the road or beside the road. Tourists go moose spotting. Locals practice moose avoidance.
So far, I've not hit a moose. I've come REALLY fucking close. They're dark. It's dark.
My M6, as well as a few of the newer cars, will beep in warning 'cause they've got LIDAR or RADAR (depending on the system). So, that's much safer.
