I am surprised you missed that while you were watching tv, though south park episodes don't really show current events

I wasn't watching any news. I don't watch any news, ever.

If it's important, someone'll let me know. Otherwise, if I need information, I look it up.

Slight amendment: I do check local news, but usually just for the police logs or if someone told me to check the local news for something.
