Welcome to another FNGT! Like normal, we'll go ahead and get you started!
We've still been pretty lazy - or busy. Normally, we'd do any recording in the mornings and I've been out driving every morning. Come afternoons, we're busy with real world stuff, guests, and further obligations. By the time night rolls around, we're done for the day. We barely have time to fit in our regular practices and some short jam sessions.
That's okay. I've got a ton of material that you've never heard. It's just live stuff with BDE and so tonight's a track from the same 4th of July show.
Listen carefully! Somewhere around the 3 minute mark is when I broke a string - playing inebriated and passionately - and you can hear how quickly I deal with it by grabbing the other acoustic off the rack, setting it up, giving it a quick tune (all while muted, of course, I am a pro after all!), and nailing the volume.
It's a lovely song to play, as you get to be really passionate about it. Quite a bit of The Who is like that. Also, by the time we performed this, it was after our official obligations had ended. So, we've had a few by this point and we're largely just having a jam session with a giant audience.
Rock on, Bears. Rock on!
Freakin' amazing as usual. It's astonishing how great you all replicate such a wide variety of songs, nailing each one. It's no wonder why you all have such a large following and frequently sell-out shows.
We're pretty good at our jobs. Even with the musicians as young as a couple are, they've all got at least a decade playing music. By the time you add it all up, there's gotta be over 100 years worth of experience on the stage.
Hell, by the time we played this, I'm pretty sure we were mostly at least a little tipsy.
Glad ya liked it, and I articulated the obscenity. We ain't sellouts!
When the vocals came in, I thought it was Daltrey. Excellent cover of a great song!
LOL I can mimic him fairly well. I pat myself on the back a bit with this, but I've gotta someday do a cover of Behind Blue Eyes for y'all. Or find one that we've already done. We perform that one now and again. I nail that fuckin' song!
During the listening of that for a moment there I forgot I was listening to theBuddha and his band and thought it was a live recording of theWho!
Fuck yeah man! Sounds great. I didn't even notice you breaking the string!
Right about the 3 minute mark. Just before it, as memory serves, it turns into a 5 string guitar. I slowed down exactly none.
In the guitar's defense, I was beating on it pretty heavily. I finished up what I needed to play and swapped to the other guitar in plenty of time to come back in.
Yeah, what else can you do!
