That is the same car that you were telling me that you could spin the tires with the traction control on, isn't it?
Maybe there is something wrong with the traction control
It's not throwing any errors and traction control is USUALLY pretty good about throwing errors if something's broken.
My hunch is, and I haven't checked, they put on different size tires (probably different profile height) to save money or to cushion the drive. They then didn't adjust the computer accordingly. They probably had it done at a tire shop that doesn't know anything about that.
That'd explain all the symptoms.
They're 'speed walking' in the Olympics.
To be fair, speed walking is a sport and it's kinda a bitch. You have to walk as fast as you can - but you must always have one foot on the ground. When you run, there are periods where both feet are in the air - as it's a natural gait to do so. In this, the rear foot can't leave the ground until the front foot has landed.
They kinda look like ducks.
Speed walking is stupid. I mean come on, if someone needs to move fast, they are not going to be making sure to keep one foot on the ground, they are going to run. And it looks ridiculous!
Yeah maybe the tire size is wrong, that would probably give the sensors bad info from what it is expecting
These crazy fuckers are doing a 50k - that's ~28 miles of speed walking - further than a fucking marathon.
And, sure it's stupid, but half the Olympics is stupid. Do you really think the diving has any real world application? None of it has any real world application, except maybe the fighting and weightlifting competitions. And, really, how often do you need to lift 500 pounds over your head?
Speaking of which, yeah... The old days are gone. The weightlifters were putting more than 500 pounds over their heads. When I was young, seeing a 400 pound lift was amazing.
The tire size being wrong would explain all the symptoms. I think... I bet it's a larger profile and different compound than originally spec'ed for the car. They were probably really low-profile, which is just plain uncomfortable on bumps and shit. It's after 17:00, so I'll have the mechanics go over it with me tomorrow morning.
If that's the case, I'll just order new tires. Ain't no way they're in stock at anything local.
