There has never been a tornado recorded to have touched ground in the area I live in all recorded history here since the early 1800's. They do touch down somewhere every year 15 miles away and further. I think it has something to do with the large bodies of water very near by. I did see a water spout once. That was neat
I've never seen a water spout - but I have seen a tornado. It too was neat. I was in a car and I can drive faster than a tornado. I wasn't too concerned.
I've never seen a tornado in person, but if I do I hope I am in a car
I've only seen the one, though it was like two or three spouts all kinda in one big chunk - that I could make out. I was in Kansas or Oklahoma or maybe Indiana - I forget which, but probably one of the first two. I was working, meaning I was on my way to do something by car in one of those areas. It was years ago, so the details are fuzzy. I could easily have driven faster than it.
