Yes and no. I typically don't like wound trebles, but I don't notice it that much when finger picking, although it did take some getting used to with my left hand. On my steel string acoustics, I use no wound trebles since I play mostly with a pick on them, and I tend to tear the winding off of the G string quite regularly. I just keep a supply of plain .024 strings around to swap when I change them. Yes on the Thomastik.

That's what I was thinking of, my fretting hand. Took some time to stop rolling the strings all over the damn place. Sounds like I'll have some acclimating to do.
