Me as in my actions. If it wasn't for me, the bank would have taken the property and sold off in parts with the fields either going dormant or being purchased by the 'company' (big blueberry conglomerate) and not even employ locals.

So, yeah... They come from me.

I didn't even go to the blueberry operation once this year. So, maybe that's getting to be less and less true. I sent my son and his buddy instead. It's his job to take care of things like that for me. That and he might as well get used to the job now. He's gonna take over quite a bit of it when I kick the bucket.

Did you at least get some fresh blueberries?

Oh, fuck yes. I didn't even have to go pick them up. Hell, I didn't even have to clean them for preserving. I use local old ladies for that sort of stuff. I also gave a bunch of pounds away, including to said old ladies. I think we ended up getting like 400 pounds delivered to the house. It was over a few days, so as to not overwhelm anyone and get it preserved before more got delivered. So, I'm not sure how many pounds. It was quite a few.
