Good.
The more folks that miss 'em in death, the more folks he impacted in life.
His family is supposed to continue covering the costs for musicfor.us. If not, I'll just set it as a static site and host it myself. Or, I may look for someone who's interested in keeping the site going. Technically, the site's worth a few bucks. So, it shouldn't be too hard to find someone interested in taking care of it in exchange for them paying the expenses and (presumably) posting ads. (There are no ads on it right now. There haven't been ads on there since September of 2019.)
I know that I have enough going on in my world already that I would never want to run that site.
I've got it covered. It is actually all automated. All I need to do is make sure I keep getting emails.
I've become one hell of a WordPress admin. It's literally all automated away - including making its own backups, updating itself, keeping itself secure, etc...
If I stop getting daily emails, that's when something has gone wrong. So long as I get at least one email a day, it's probably fine. I still check in every week.
I'll write something up when he passes. I'll accept the obligation of letting people know. It seems fitting that that obligation falls at my feet.
Like I've said, we had a very personal relationship forged over years with countless messages shared.
Well there you go. Let the automation run it.
and yeah, I know you talked to him a whole lot. Heck you talk to me a whole lot
