It was hot and I heard shortly after this they installed LEDs. Still had fun and got to play with my old band mate Chris Funk.
When I finally retire for real, I plan on a weekend of fun at one of my favorite venues. I'm gonna call in a bunch of people I've played with over the years and basically turn it into a giant jam session.
I don't even give a shit if the audience likes it or not.
It's coming up...
Well, that's what I keep telling myself.
That's pretty much what I do now. I just did a Christmas show near where I live. About 200 people there and we sang Christmas songs together outside in the cold. I had a great time and will more than likely do it again next year.
Nice! Except I have a giant venue that'll pretty much let me do anything I damned well please. I've spoken with the owner a bit and they're onboard with it. My band plays there often - even when I'm not around. So, pulling in an extra 20 to 30 musicians for a weekend isn't something they're going to turn down. They know damned well that they'll do well financially by allowing it.
I kinda picture something like how The Band went down. Something like, The Last Waltz.
