Thanks for the advice, I'm gonna look over a few things. I should for sure get a pressure reading to make sure I get the seal right ha. But yes! It's why I still have her lol. She is a damn tank! I put a fresh suspension on her and new tires, among a few other things. I used to have access to a car lift and damn was that helpful! Its fun nonetheless tho and much more affordable when u can fix your own stuff haha
LOL I have a lift. (I have more than that, but bragging isn't really my style.) A lift is one of the handiest things you can have in your garage.
Fixing this shouldn't be a problem. Make sure it seats properly and you should be golden. Again, you may need to find a pressurized system to flush the coolant - but maybe not. If the input from the radiator into the engine is higher than the top of your radiator's cap, you'll have to pressurize it. You can force it by squeezing the hose that goes into the highest point of the engine. I'm not 100% sure what the setup is in the Crown Vics.
Hell, I bet you still scare people at night. They probably still think you're cops.
Right on! Seating it properly and getting an accurate reading after installation is what I plan to double check. I think I got the coolant flush part figured out :) Hey you might have a lift but I've got some nice tools I've accumulated lol. I still scare the shit out of people hahaha. The car still has the "police interceptor" emblem on the back so I think it fucks with people, at least those who are guilty of something lol jk
I am 100% positive that your headlights and profile are so ingrained on some folks that they think you're a cop. I guarantee it.
Hell, some areas are still using the Crown Vic because they have so much invested in parts and knowledge. They still use them to patrol in NYC - among other areas.
