LOL Now that's something I pay very well for. If you're detailing one of my cars, even though it was pretty close to spotless, I expect it to take you a couple of days. Just a few months ago I paid four figures to get my GT3 RS detailed.
I don't think people realize how expensive it should be.
Haha! Exactly! Anytime we have a ceramic job, it always takes us a few days. Too bad you're not on the west coast, I wouldn't mind your business lol! Here's a few nice cars we've done where we didn't get haggled! The last link is a boat. In my experience, people who own boats never tend to haggle which is nice, probably because boats are already so expensive to maintain lol. Also, doing a gel coat on a boat is much easier than some of the stuff we have to do on cars imo. There is just a lot more surface area to cover!

You do boats too, I see?
And, yeah, I pay a proper price for a proper job. Though I usually don't want my tires shiny. I just don't like the look.
I'm retired and financially independent. Over the past few years, I've moved a bunch of investment money into the collector car market. I've done quite well with it, from a financial point of view. The good thing about collector cars is that they're never worth less than you paid for them at an auction. The value only goes up - unless you bought during a bubble, like the pickup truck bubble.
We do boats, RV's, semi trucks, can-ams, pretty much any vehicle a client wants detailed we can do, but cars are usually the most common.
We are exactly the same way when it comes to tires haha. We like to use a matte finish on them, but occasionally a client will insist on the shiny stuff lol. We also never use glossy/oily interior cleaner as well because if the car is in the sun and it gets hot, it'll basically cook leather upholstery.
That's awesome! It's not a bad investment! The last photo with the boat- that client's father used to own a very successful honda and porsche dealership out here. The guy was a total car fanatic and has multiple warehouses full of classic cars and all sorts of interesting stuff. He even has the world biggest motorcycle apparently lol https://youtu.be/SkC2WRhoNjE?t=22 - this thing Here's some photos I took of it while browsing thru one of his warehouses

These last 2 photos I took were of his warehouse, it doesn't even show half of what is in there! It's like walking into a time capsule
