got a question sir is a hand wound les paul and dsl40c tube amp worth 3k?

guy at work has a 2017 hand wound les paul forsale and a marshall dsl40c with a greenback 12 in it

Which Les Paul model? Traditional? Standard? or ...

standard i think but the pickups are standard they were hand wound at factory and none of the attachments like pickguard have been installed. he bought it played a few hours on it one day and its been sitting 5 years now

That's pushing it... The guitar might go for 2.2k on Craigslist and the amp would be (even with the upgraded speaker) probably only about retail, Figure that's in the $900 range which puts you at $3100.

You're buying them both at the same time. I'd offer $2750 'cause on a good day you can get the guitar for more like $1800 and the amp for $600. Changing a speaker out doesn't really add much to the value unless you also get the speaker that was originally in it. If he's got the original speaker still, then 3k is fair.

i see gibson has a hand wound model on the line up page but that was like $3400 but his looks like a standard t model with traditional sunburst look

I missed the hand wound. I'd then move the value to about 3.6k and say 3k is worth it.
