Once again, it's time for the FNGT!

If you don't know how this works, . That link will take you to another site to give you some additional information and tell you about some of our off-site features. That's also the site where we will host the weekly guitar threads, should Poal go down.

NOTE: That site is by invitation only. If you want an invite, and you're a regular participant, then just ask Crazy, or myself.

If you do know what's going on, you probably don't need to click that link - but you may want to, to make sure you know of the other features, such as the archive or a separate forum that's invite only.

Remember, we are guests here on Poal. Let's act like it. If you're interested in supporting Poal, then .

I survived the fireworks/gun battle. I'm still not sure what it was.

And, nobody has approached the site asking to place ads. I should probably make a page inviting people to do so.

I have no fucking clue what to charge.

Do you watch the local news?

I would think something like that would be mentioned

What does goog charge for ads?

No. No, I didn't watch the local news. I never watch the news. I did read the local news headlines and it wasn't mentioned. They went on for a good ten minutes.

Google pays me 69% of what they charge for ads. People bid on the ads and they can cost anywhere from $0.01 (some ad places even do fractions of a penny) and $20 for a click. It depends on what segment you're in. Google really seems to like the site 'cause it's doing well. It's not paying for itself yet, but it soon will.

I don't watch the news either.

$20 a click seems like a lot to me

When a click is worth tens of thousands of dollars, it doesn't seem too high.

Things like mesothelioma lawyers pay a lot per click. It's all done behind the scenes (with many ad agencies) in a really quick auction. No, you're not bidding in real time - but you might have an ad exec at your company changing bid rates fairly often as they try to maximize profit with regards to spending.

I suppose if you are going to make thousands off of the click $20 is nothing
