You're not necessarily wrong. Compare his live version - say in Austin TX - and then compare it to the studio version. We aimed for a tone closest to the studio.

I was going to add that I generally listen to him live so your tone is probably spot on with the album. I'll just add that now LoL

LOL And, was I correct in that you don't know the lyrics?

(Push come to shove, if you'd asked me before recording this, I'd have not been able to remember all the lyrics. I'm not sure if I could remember them all correctly right now.)
