Once again, it's time for the FNGT!

If you don't know how this works, . That link will take you to another site to give you some additional information and tell you about some of our off-site features. That's also the site where we will host the weekly guitar threads, should Poal go down.

NOTE: That site is by invitation only. If you want an invite, and you're a regular participant, then just ask Crazy, or myself.

If you do know what's going on, you probably don't need to click that link - but you may want to, to make sure you know of the other features, such as the archive or a separate forum that's invite only.

Remember, we are guests here on Poal. Let's act like it. If you're interested in supporting Poal, then .

I suspect his maturity would have been similar to that of Eric Clapton's maturity. Clapton's amazing and his guitar is no longer rough around the edges, overly aggressive, or seemingly working too hard to create a tone. You can hear the tonal differences just before he got to the Tears in Heaven album - whichever album that was. Then, he did the Unplugged album (the greatest series of music MTV ever made) at such a different maturity level. Ol' Slowhand lived up to his name and his sense of timing adjusted.

I strongly suspect SRV would have matured like that.

yup he would have matured like a 100 year bottle of white wine. he started sounding quite well after cleaning up and towards his last concert can only image his 50-60's man ol man

Hell, he was only 35 when he died. At that age, I'd just finished getting my Ph.D. and was still playing alternative and grunge.
