It's kinda important!
I was playing my new guitar for a bit, pretending to be new. It's also an excuse to get rid of a few bad habits. I tend to fret the A chord funny and I'm a little slow on the G when I don't use my pointer finger. I haven't practiced either properly lately.
I dont know how you fret the A chord, but I do it with just my index finger on the D, G, & B strings and somehow the E string is able to ring out, so that's how I play it, unless I need an A minor or 7th
Yeah, it should just be a mini barre. If I go back to my old habits, I fret it with three fingers. They're all crammed in there, with the middle finger being the top-most finger.
I've never played my A like that. I see Chris doing that, and he does it because he has a really hard time for some reason laying his fingers flat on the strings. He just simply can not play a C barred power chord, or B or D or any of them. I dont get but don't need to.
