Not until I can no longer bear the pain
Yeah, I figured...
I'm gonna call you a stubborn idiot, but I'm the same way. I only see a doctor when I absolutely have to. I get Suboxone, so that means I see one far more often than I like.
Next month, I have a physical. I don't want to go, but I have to. I need one to maintain my race license and to be able to attend an upcoming event.
I do see a dentist often. I go to the dentist's every 6 months - or every 3 months if I'm performing. I go in for a cleaning to keep my teeth sparking white.
Man...
I'm reading guitar sites, watching guitar videos, and pretending I don't know how to play. I haven't played a real/full song on my new guitar. Instead, I am doing what I'd do if I was my teacher. I'm still concentrating entirely on stretching exercises and only for 30 minutes a day - at most. I can increase the practice time after a couple of months. By the time I'm at it for six months, I might be able to play Knocking on Heaven's Door.
It's pretty exciting.
If I can get well without going to the hospital I will
If your gut is in crippling pain, you should probably go to a clinic or an ER - not immediately, but you should certainly consider it after a few days.
It's a personal question - but when was the last time you took a dump? Are you vomiting?
Good generic advice is that you should keep yourself hydrated as best as you can.
