I was just talking to Verle and he let some people sleep at his place that didn't have anywhere to go for a night and he says when he woke up they were gone and so was all of his money. He says he was so drunk he does not even remember their names. What a dumb ass

That doesn't surprise me with Verle. The dude's drunk and not all that bright. It's awfully early in the month for him to be broke.

Knowing their names probably wouldn't help. What's he gonna do, call the cops? They're not gonna do a damned thing.

But, he does live in low-income housing. They almost certainly have cameras. If he really gives a shit, he can likely still report the crime.

Again, it's unlikely to help. The money is gone.

Maybe he'll learn a valuable lesson from all this?

It's seriously a long time for him to go without money. It's the 5th and he gets paid on the 1st or the 3rd.

He needs a fucking payee, someone who gets the money on his behalf and then doles it out to him (after paying bills) throughout the rest of the month. They'll even help him save up for larger purchases.

But, assuming he's on SSI or SSDI, social security, then he gets paid on one of those two dates. That's 1/6 of the way through the month.

Seriously, get him a payee.
