Once again, it's time for the FNGT!

If you don't know how this works, . That link will take you to another site to give you some additional information and tell you about some of our off-site features. That's also the site where we will host the weekly guitar threads, should Poal go down.

NOTE: That site is by invitation only. If you want an invite, and you're a regular participant, then just ask Crazy, or myself.

If you do know what's going on, you probably don't need to click that link - but you may want to, to make sure you know of the other features, such as the archive or a separate forum that's invite only.

Remember, we are guests here on Poal. Let's act like it. If you're interested in supporting Poal, then .

I have a couple of storage lockers from when I retired and moved here. Only maybe a half dozen didn't go straight into storage.

I keep planning on clearing them out, but I'm always busy doing something else.

The lockers are climate controlled, so they guitars should be just fine. Every few years I check on them. I should make my son deal with it.

Send me an unused guitar!

Also, on the 16th, my Linux-Tips.us site will have been the year-long project I said it would be.

I haven't missed a single publication date - for a full fucking year.

My "final" article is due on the 15th (every other day), so there's no article due on the 16th. That means I'm officially done with the project!

I'm gonna still keep writing, but my obligations are over.

LOL I have all sorts of those - unused guitars, that is.

Some of 'em are worth a lot of money. Others, not so much. I can't possibly regularly play all of my guitars. I legitimately own too many guitars. Yes, I know how strange that sounds - but there is such a thing as too many guitars. I've long since crossed that threshold. If I had to tie it to a number, I'd say you're okay with 8 guitars. At 9 guitars you're crossing the line. At 10 guitars you have too many. You should be able to recreate most anything with eight guitars.

Let's check that...

You need a 6 string acoustic. You need a 12 string acoustic. You need a nylon string acoustic. You need a solid body with humbuckers. You need a solid body with a bolt on neck and single coils. You need a solid body with P90 pickups. You need a semi-hollow body with humbuckers. You need a hollow-body with any pickups. You need a through-neck guitar, preferably with HSS pickups. Optional? Maybe... I'll count it. You need a bass guitar.

Anything more than that is too many guitars.

But, there's thresholds of too many guitars. Once you start collecting them, not just playing them, that number expands greatly. I'd say the next threshold would be like 50 guitars. Then it'd be incremental, with varied degrees of 'too many'. Such as 'way too many', 'a metric fuckload', 'an ungodly amount', 'an obscene amount', etc...

Me? I have way too many fucking guitars. When I last counted them, I didn't count the ones in storage. I've also picked up a number of guitars since then - including outfitting our suites with guitars.

Shit, Biff herself owns at least ten guitars.(A few of which were straight up stolen from me.)
