Once again, it's time for the FNGT!

If you don't know how this works, . That link will take you to another site to give you some additional information and tell you about some of our off-site features. That's also the site where we will host the weekly guitar threads, should Poal go down.

NOTE: That site is by invitation only. If you want an invite, and you're a regular participant, then just ask Crazy, or myself.

If you do know what's going on, you probably don't need to click that link - but you may want to, to make sure you know of the other features, such as the archive or a separate forum that's invite only.

Remember, we are guests here on Poal. Let's act like it. If you're interested in supporting Poal, then .

You would know better than I

I've spent innumerable hours looking lately. It's kinda fun seeing what you can do on a budget - and I've discovered a ton of sites for it.

I've pretty much decided my next purchase will be the Fender Mustang LT-25, but I may wait to go back to Maine before ordering it. I don't really feel lugging the amp around on a plane. It's bad enough that I have to lug a guitar that I could just as easily have a replica sent to my house and waiting for me when I got there. I don't even have a case for it, nor do I have a gig bag for it - as it didn't come with one. Fortunately, I have a Les Paul down here and I'll just use that case to lug it to Maine and leave the one here sitting in a guitar stand.

I was wondering if those cheap guitars came with hard cases. I guess not. I remember when I bought my first guitar back in 1982, the guitar was something like $399 and they wanted another $300 for a case, so I didn't get a case

Most come with a gig bag. but mine did not even come with that.

Hard cases should cost around $135 to $150, depending on where you look. Specialty cases will cost more. A good Gator case can run around $200 - but not much more.

But, most come with at least a cheap gig bag. Mine is a rarity in that it came with no case.
