Cops and I are like oil and water. I stay far from them as i can

It seems beneficial (for me) to at least be on friendly terms with them.

It might not be, it might not impact how they deal with me for potential future transgressions, but it's a chance I'm willing to take.

I want the cops to think of me as a nice, albeit strange, guy that's a bit eccentric and is always driving something interesting.

It also helps that I'm not in a city. There are very few cops in my area of the globe, so it's not like a city where there are hundreds of cops that might respond to a complaint. If I get stopped by a cop today and then get stopped by a cop tomorrow, it's probably going to be the same cop each time.

That can also be a bad thing - if said cop doesn't like you. In a city, if a cop doesn't like you then who knows what beat they'll be on the next day? It may be nowhere near you. If a cop doesn't like me, he can sit there and fuck with me - every day he's on duty.

In my wallet, I have a few of my lawyer's business cards. If they fucked with me, I'd just include the lawyer's business card with my license and insurance information.
