I pay like $500 a month (less really 'cause I pay it way in advance, but that's what it would be) for two storage units. They're 10 x 30 and hold the contents of my home before I retired. I really need to clean them out.
I pay another guy a grand a year - which is excellent - to store my RV, a boat, and I think there's another boat down there too.
I pay out the ass - but not as bad as one might expect - to temporarily store the cars in the mill before the barn is built.
I'd have figured you would have your own places to store that stuff
LOL Good timing! I'm just getting back in.
And, they're stored indoors 'cause I want them to be stored indoors. I don't have enough room (or didn't - and likely still won't after the last barn is built) for the RV and boat. Well, I could likely have fit the boat and trailer, I don't intend to use the boat. I keep meaning to put it up for sale.
The boat has never been in the water. I was at the gas station filling it up (on the trailer) and someone too young to drive smashed into the trailer and boat, denting it up pretty bad. It could be fixed, but I've sworn off boating from there on out. That was the straw the broke the camel's back. It was what made me give up completely on owning boats.
(Kayaks are pretty cool. They lie, you can sink a canoe.)
The RV is huge and I don't want to leave it sitting outside when not in use.
If I remember correctly, you have not used your RV in quite a while.
