UNDER 4 THOUSAND DOLLARS?
What the fuck?
Yeah, you can likely find one that runs and drives for not a whole lot of money.
What I was doing was showing you that it's something attainable for you - though you'd have to go to work for a while - but then you could have a second car that's special and a collector car that will only increase in value as time passes (assuming you're smart about it).
You don't even have to store it indoors - though you should. But, renting a storage unit big enough is going to cost you three figures a month (probably). That and it'd really suck to not be able to pay and to lose your car when they sold the contents of your storage locker.
Instead, you can get a good car cover and possibly consider putting the car in the air a little bit during the winter. You want a good cover, one that won't scratch the paint. If you do that, you can store it comfortably during the winter - being smart enough to not move the cover while it has the weight of snow on it.
So, for maybe six months of working often, you can have a collector car.
Warning: Once you have one, you will want another one.
You can have a collector motorcycle for relatively cheap, too. It really doesn't take that much money to get into this stuff.
If you bought one and did the work yourself to make it better - you could then sell it at a higher cost - making a profit and making it so that you could buy another one. If you did it with the same car every time, you'd become known as an expert on that particular car and model. This makes your time valuable to people who are also interested in that make and model - should you want to consult, appraise, or buy on behalf of...

I don't know if I would like to get one and work on it and then sell it. I would be much more likely to just keep it.
$30 a month isn't bad for storage. That's not bad at all.
And, I could see keeping it - or using it as a stepping stone to get more cars in your collection.
