No, I'm not going to go that far. (I'm hours away from the coast in that direction.) I'm just going to go over to some other nifty mountain roads, some with some pretty sweet elevation changes and tight corners.
Do you get your ears popping from the elevation changes?
Depending on where you started from and where you've been, yes. Just coming home from Farmington will likely make my ears pop.
The mountains aren't too tall, however. It's not like the Rockies, or anything. Our tallest mountain is just shy of a mile high. They stack like 7' of rocks on it to make it a mile high.
The mountains have been here for a long time - as it's pretty geologically stable. Then, they've been eroded by bouts of glaciation. So, they're smoother than like what you'd see in the Rockies.
