Maybe?
I had the weirdest dream last night. I broke a high E string and had a nightmare of a time changing to a lighter gauge and doing a setup on it. For the life of me, I couldn't get it set up. Nothing went right on it. Nothing...
All I did was want to replace the broken string and put Ernie Ball Super Slinky Extra Light strings on it. (The pink pack.) It wouldn't intonate, for example. So, I ended up cutting one of the springs down so that I could make the string even longer.
Eventually, I took the spring out and found out that the bridge was put in the wrong spot, but only by a little. So, I had to plug the existing screw holes, move the bridge, square it up, and do all sorts of shit just to get the intonation 'close enough'.
I think I woke up before I was done with the dream...
I don't normally dream, but the sleepy meds and Chanix mean I sometimes dream now. It's kinda neat. I spent most of my life never entering REM sleep and never dreaming.
I was having a weird dream when I woke up, I don't remember exactly what was going on but I was doing some really mundane kind of thing.
It's amazing how detailed my dream was.
Man, was I pissed at the guitar. I don't recall the brand, but it was an expensive guitar and like new - like I played it once or twice.
Even the saddles were fucked - they had rough edges and that's what snapped the string, so even those had to be filed and polished.
I'm telling you, it was a nightmare setup job. It was a dream, so I'm not sure why I didn't just send that fucker back to whoever made it. It wasn't cheap, but you'd have thought it was with all the problems it had.
That sounds like an annoying nightmare more than a scary one
