I can - but you should be aware that I'm absolutely nowhere near the ocean. I'm hours from the ocean. However, I've got friends in low places - namely lobster fishermen! I go down and get a haul of 'em.
The clam chowder is much the same that you'd get on the coast in MA or RI and NH. What we have is fried clams - that are second to none. But, there's a ready supply of "chowdah" available.
Yeah, we sold our R's to MA and they sold 'em on for crack. So, it's "chowdah, ayuh."
(Anyone who says "ayup" is from away. They're not real Mainers. I'm from away, an import. But, they've come to accept me as one of my own - but I'll never be a native Mainer. I'm 'from away.')
I don’t think I’ve had fried clams but it sounds good, I’m not normally a guy that’s likes to eat in the morning but I think I would eat that this morning. I’ll have to remember the local dialect upon arrival I am for sure not a Mainer I am from the Great Lakes area and I’m sure you can guess which state that means. Not really known for our food.
Yeah, I'm gonna have to make sure you try the fresh lobster. It's delicious.
I'll hold you too that.
