It's not much of a hunt. I have an apple orchard. It's a brief wait. There's your deer. You can pick 'em. If we time it, we'll take our shots at the same time. You're over 18, so I don't think you need hunter safety classes - and you'll have me with you.
See my other reply for other details.
It's an idea.
Sounds like an easy hunt, I don’t think I would have a hard time pulling the trigger but I’ve only shot one gun in my life and it was a hand gun. It’s another thing on my list of things to learn. I honestly think I should own one at this point especially considering the area I live in. It’s just one more thing on the to do list. Once I have this house and the minivan after that I think I’ll tackle the gun goal.
On a good day, I can shoot a moose or deer from my porch. That'd be ILLEGAL AS FUCK, but I could do it.
If you ever make it up, we'll show you. Caution, people really hate leaving.
Well I have figured out how I am going to make this whole week in Maine work(hopefully more like 10 days) provided things go as planned over the next month or two and my job doesn’t gernade itself in firey glory of attempting to oppose the public school system(don’t do this unless you want a huge fight one I have valiantly fought and provided the mountains of paper work requested and logs that often times cannot be produced). I will take a Friday and a Monday off and drive out and meet you and see the place so I have a good idea of what it takes to get there(I’ll have to do all the driving) perhaps we can even have a good conversation or two on the day I’ll have there. Then provided you still think I’m an okay guy. In November I’ll bring the whole family out for a stay we can shoot a deer and ride atvs and hopefully pick some blueberries. My wife I’m sure would be happy to make some of her blueberry pancakes and we can discuss the finer points of technology, maybe you can give me some great life advice. I’d love to see that accord and I believe there was a mention of Saab 900s at some point. The more I think about it the more I consider just quitting and moving out there. I wonder if there are any sys admin jobs in Maine. Honestly it sounds like quite the place from how you describe it. I can’t wait to see it
