I'm drinking and playing cards at a friends house

We're playing poker, kind of. Rap poker. Where instead of normal the turn goes around where you can choose the card discarded by the player before or the top card off the deck till someone knocks then you get one more round. Everyone starts with four chips and the same entry fee. My woman has won every game so far. Lol

Is this played with three cards where the goal is to get 31 (aces count as 11, face cards count as 10)?
