Tension is the enemy of stability and guitar longevity.
We didn't have all these lovely choices when I was younger. So, shit like sending your guitar to the luthier to (properly) fix a lifted bridge was much more common. Or you learn yourself... These days, I feel comfortable making such repairs - but I'd send them out these days 'cause it's easier and cheaper. (My time is worth more than that.)
If something breaks on one of my guitars I am going to be the one to attempt to repair it.
I've got better things to do with my time.
Though, I'm going to waste some of that time coming up with a set of strings for you. I'll send 'em along when I come up with 'em. I might just send you some Elixer coated strings and call it good - but I've got a whole lot of strings to consider. Some Boomers might work...
My son says he would like a trucker hat too. He is completely bald headed so he would probably wear it a lot more than I will LoL
