**** INTRO ****

Once again, it's time for the FNGT!

If you don't know how this works, . That link will take you to another site to give you some additional information and tell you about some of our off-site features. That's also the site where we will host the weekly guitar threads, should Poal go down.

NOTE: That site is by invitation only. If you want an invite, and you're a regular participant, then just ask Crazy, or myself.

If you do know what's going on, you probably don't need to click that link - but you may want to, to make sure you know of the other features, such as the archive or a separate forum that's invite only.

Remember, we are guests here on Poal. Let's act like it. If you're interested in supporting Poal, then .

I don't know, these strings on that woman's sisters guitar were like steel rods, they would not bend at all. I didn't check the tuning but the tension on those was tremendous. Maybe she had the guitar tuned up to A or something ridiculous

Tension is the enemy of stability and guitar longevity.

We didn't have all these lovely choices when I was younger. So, shit like sending your guitar to the luthier to (properly) fix a lifted bridge was much more common. Or you learn yourself... These days, I feel comfortable making such repairs - but I'd send them out these days 'cause it's easier and cheaper. (My time is worth more than that.)

If something breaks on one of my guitars I am going to be the one to attempt to repair it.

I've got better things to do with my time.

Though, I'm going to waste some of that time coming up with a set of strings for you. I'll send 'em along when I come up with 'em. I might just send you some Elixer coated strings and call it good - but I've got a whole lot of strings to consider. Some Boomers might work...
