I used that. I wrote another one, but it's a tirade of drunkenness and it hasn't been long enough from the incident that prompted it for me to post it.
Basically, someone pissed me the fuck off while I was pretty drunk and I wrote an article about their shitty behavior and them hiding behind the name 'volunteer' as an excuse not to do any fucking work.
"I'm a volunteer! I don't want to do that work!"
Instead, they fucked things up for people who should have the least amount of friction instead of a bunch of extra friction. They made things harder for new people, because they have their own official Ubuntu flavor and want to use the same software.
What they SHOULD do is actually do the goddamned work to do it right. Instead, they didn't do the work because they're a 'volunteer' and they had the gall to throw that excuse at me like I was the bad guy.
I lit into 'em and spent a good 30 minutes ripping into every excuse they offered. I trashed every comment they made to defend themselves 'cause I was in a mood.
Finally, I called them an idiot, told 'em to do what they wanted, and moved off to a new task. Eventually, I was annoyed enough to write said article.
That wasn't that long ago, so I can't really publish the article yet. I don't want to bring more politics into it than there already is.
I am not so sure that would be a good article to post
Oh, it's getting posted. The person who is refers to will even know it's about them. By then, it'll have been enough time for them to not be able to say for certain that it's about them. I was pretty opaque with my writing, writing more about the abstract and not the individual.
Well there you go. If you don't get one done in time the streak can continue
