That is outrageous for what it is!
I adhere to much of the Buddhist philosophy, but prefer science for the deeper questions.
I'd likely make one or two prototypes, each by themselves, and then replicate them in 'bulk' of several guitars at once for efficiency sake.
I built all the cabinets for my house, actually. I've got a whole wood shop available.
And, yes... It's some metal with a few patches of industrial diamonds - cut to something like 0.05" accuracy. I ain't paying $125 for that. No fucking way. Can I afford it? Yup... However, I can afford it 'cause I don't do stupid shit like paying $125 for something worth $25!
I have machinist friends who would CNC one for me cheaper than that!
You need some sort of process to get the industrial diamonds in there. I have no idea how that's accomplished. I do know I can buy a diamond file for just a few dollars. So, it's not that fucking complex.
