If they're aliens, they've gotta be smarter. They'd have had to invent the tech to get here, to remain hidden when wanted, to communicate with others without leaving a trace in the RMF spectrum, etc...

So, they'd have to be smarter than us. We humans couldn't invent craft that do what these purport to do. No, sir... We could not!

If we could - we would! So, logic dictates if they're here they're smarter than we are.

That said, I absolutely believe intelligent life exists elsewhere. I have no reason to believe that said intelligent life has visited the planet earth. They may have, but I've yet to see conclusive evidence.

No, we're not visiting. We're here for the duration. Not even I can escape Earth, no matter how much money I pay.

Even if I could get off this gravity well, I wouldn't fucking bother. At best, we might be able to manage to live on Mars - while being dependent on Earth for various supplies. (Given the current tech and the progress of tech.)

I mean, right now we could not live on Mars...

We've tried to have humans live in isolated habitats more than once. Each time, they've failed. They couldn't even make it a year in their enclosed habitat. That's with the best of circumstances!

So, I see no reason to leave the planet at this time. By the time it's worth leaving the planet, we won't have to worry about living on Mars. We'll just be able to live in the ship that brought us there. Anything short of that is fuckin' pointless. If we're on Mars and a giant rock takes out all the life on Earth, we're still gonna die - just more slowly and painfully.

Ah well...

I have authored a couple of articles, so I now officially have a spare article again.

Methinks I'm gonna try sleeping.
