If I were closer, I'd offer to just come tow it to my garage. We could have it knocked out in a day, assuming we have the parts.
I've got all the tools! All of 'em!
I suppose I could just have the mechanics fix it, but where's the fun in that?
I wish I was closer! It would be a damned long tow from here!
Yeah, I'm not coming to pick up your fuckin' car from here. When I did the math for gasoline costs recently, it was over $500 - and that was assuming 20 MPG. So, it's going to be a lot more than that just to get there - and then it'll be even more to get back 'cause I'd be towing at that point.
We're talking well over a grand - just in gasoline. I figure I'd get like 12 MPG on the way back and diesel is $6.24 a gallon right now... So, yeah... I should be able to get 12 MPG pretty easily - maybe even 14 on the flatter sections of the highway. If I can tuck up behind a semi, I might do a bit better.
The $500 was just one way?
