Hmm... That just doesn't make any sense.
Literally, it's a bit nonsensical. So, you have no fuel from the pump - but even if you did it won't try to run.
The only thing I can think of at the moment is power, electricity... You say you get power to the pump, but is it enough?
Oh, shit, wait...
I did think of something the other night after you left. Does your bike have an inertia switch? Many do. It's something for safety - as in it shuts the bike down if you lay it down or get in an accident.
The hard jarring could have triggered the inertia switch. I forget the name of your bike, again, so I can't go look that up for you. I used to have a car that had a sensitive inertia switch - and I also drove it like a moron. So, I was underneath it a few times to reset that. It took a mechanic to figure it out for me, 'cause I had no fucking clue it was there. That it wouldn't start was baffling me.
So, if you have an inertia switch, check that!
yes it does have an inertia switch and I have checked that too. Good thought though.
Damn it...
Hmm... I don't suppose the inertia switch has gone bad...
I'm pretty sure I've run out of ideas. You're either going to have to find a biker to help you, or suck it up and take it to a mechanic.
I realize that taking it to a mechanic will pain you greatly, but it's okay - your masculinity isn't being challenged! I take stuff to my mechanic pretty much every day, all day.
It'd also be far cheaper for you to take it to a mechanic than it would be to put it on a truck and bring it to Maine. But, I'd have my mechanics work on it for free for you. Well, not for free... I'd still have to pay their hourly wages.
Yeah...
I thought of the inertia switch the other night. I meant to mention it sooner, but I forgot. I am pretty sure I was drunk at the time I thought of it.
This week, starting tomorrow, I'll be driving a good example of Modern American Muscle, which is probably a part of the 'last hurrah' for the internal combustion engine.
I sent a text with the symptoms to the mechanic that lives across the road. He has no idea but suggests checking fuses. "If nothing else, it eliminates them as a possibility."
I had the inertia switch get me in the past so I know to check that
I've checked the fuses a few times
