That's what I thought. I am sure there are $50,000 guitars that play like butter and some $50,000 guitars that are basically unplayable, but they draw that price for being a 52 Les Paul or Strat or whatever it is. But that unplayable 52 valuable guitar really wouldn't be worth much to me beyond a decoration. I like to play the guitars I have. I do have some unplayable acoustic guitars laying around but they look cool. A pile of acoustic guitars in the corner looks cool to me anyways, LoL
Hmm...
I'm not sure what to say to that, because I don't like committing to anything.
I'm tempted to send you a valuable guitar (assuming you'd send it back, of course) after setting it up properly. The value of many guitars is the rarity, but most every guitar out there can be made playable. Anything unplayable really isn't worth much. Collectors aren't idiots. Not even a little bit. You might think they are, but they value things other than what you value - but things still must be playable for it to hold value.
All I can tell you is I would never steal a damn thing from you or anyone else, I am not a thief. I don't steal from others. That's just the way I am. I don't really need to play a valuable guitar anyways, I would rather a great sounding great playing guitar no matter what the market says it is worth
Also, the percentage is way too low - thankfully! LOL
If you're bored:
It's much appreciated.
And... I'm pretty sure I can send you a guitar and you'd send it back - especially if I've covered the return costs. I suspect you'd love it, at the same time.
So, let's start thinking about that...
I kinda want you to have the experience of playing a valuable guitar. It's something special.
I suppose you're 'poor'. I'd have to pay shipping to you and then shipping back. I can't expect you to cover it.
But, yeah... It's such a different thing the first few times you do it. The first time you play a $50k guitar is like the first time you drive a $50k car. If that makes any sense.
I trust you entirely with this sort of thing. I just need to think of something special to send you. I trust you 100% when you say you'd send it back, but I'd likely cover shipping in both directions 'cause I know what it's like to only have a few bucks available - and shipping today is a couple hundred bucks each direction.
Seeing as I'm going through a bunch of guitars from my past, now's a good time for me to consider it.
Gotta ask, just to make sure...
If I send you a guitar worth 5k, and I cover return shipping, you're gonna send it back to me - right?
