I saw one on there for $30, and i clicked on it and it was a brochure LoL

I strongly suspect the guitar will play and sound great (for the money). Hell, it'll probably just sound great. It won't have the right tone from the pickups - but I've got electronics. I can make it sound like a fucking pipe organ if I want.

So, I suspect I'll have made a 'great deal'. Their auction had a buy it now price and it had an option to send them an offer. I'd previously contacted the seller, so I threw 'em a low offer. They gave me a counter offer and I accepted that. So, I paid less than the asking price.

Plus, it's free shipping. Shipping a guitar from China to the US is about $120 to $140 right now, depending on your carrier.

Also, I just watched a video on YouTube... The dude was talking about a $50,000 guitar and how 'rich people' would have to move money around to be able to pay that.

No...

No, we'd put it on our fucking credit cards. Fucking idiot. It's not like we're coming up with $500,000 in cash. We're just gonna put it on plastic and pay the bill in 30 days without interest. There's ample time between the billing date and the due date. You don't need to fly to fucking New York to personally sell your stock at the exchange. Your fucking accountant handles it all and you never fucking worry about it.

Goddamn is he an idiot. It was like he wanted to associate himself with wealthy people by inferring what it is they'd do in this situation - only to get exactly none of it right.

I would assume they put in something as close to a P90 that they can find for pickups.

That person obviously has a different definition for rich people than you do

These are humbuckers, I suppose. I should get a cheap P90 guitar to add to the list. In fact, I'll put it on my list! The seller has a bunch of other guitars, including P90 guitars and mini-humbuckers. If I have a good experience and get a quality instrument, I'll get more just to play with 'em. Though, I still need to work my way down the price list. That's the objective after all.

And, if you've gotta wait to move money to come up with 50k, I would assert that you're not wealthy. All sorts of people have that much in immediate credit. The trick is paying off the debt before the interest comes due. That gives you a whole lot more than a 'couple' of days.

I wonder what the reason was for Poal going down for a bit. It was throwing the maintenance page for a while.
