Once again, it's time for the FNGT!

I plan on putting the right truss rod cover on it.

I haven't checked, but it'd only pass as a Gibson if they buyer didn't know what they're talking about.

To prove it's not a Gibson, just open the control panel. I guarantee the pots and resistors are different than what Gibson uses. The back of the tuners is also different.

They could also check the nut, which is plastic.

So, someone not wise to the ways of Gibson would be easily fooled. I would not be fooled.

You could probably open up and look at the back of the pickups. I suspect that won't match.

Have you checked to see if the truss rod cover is simply upside down?

I did check that. It is not. It's just a white truss rod cover, white on both sides.

A replacement is under $20. It appears to be the right size.
