Thanks! LOL.
I've seen American Graffiti a hundred times.
What was John Milner's car do you know?
That'd be the aforementioned '32 Coupe - otherwise known as 'little deuce coupe' as it was from the year 32. The two refers to the year. It was a yellow '32 Ford Coupe.
Wow, didn't know that (but I'm not a car freak like some).
Oh, I'm not a walking encyclopedia of car knowledge, I just know this one 'cause of the popularity and the song.
The Deuce Coupe is a popular platform for making hotrods. They had a V-8 and, by the time the fifties rolled around, were cheap to buy. These two things made them pretty popular. Hot rods back then weren't about buying the fastest import you could buy, it was about making what you could get look cool and run fast in a straight line.
I'm not an encyclopedia or anything, it's just that this is a subject I know about. If you asked me what size the engine was or how many HP it was putting out, I couldn't even begin to guess. Well, I could guess and probably be pretty close, given the era... That'd just be guessing, however.
