Once again, it's time for the FNGT!

If you don't know how this works, . That link will take you to another site to give you some additional information and tell you about some of our off-site features. That's also the site where we will host the weekly guitar threads, should Poal go down.

NOTE: That site is by invitation only. If you want an invite, and you're a regular participant, then just ask Crazy, or myself.

If you do know what's going on, you probably don't need to click that link - but you may want to, to make sure you know of the other features, such as the archive or a separate forum that's invite only.

Remember, we are guests here on Poal. Let's act like it. If you're interested in supporting Poal, then .

Yup. I owned a house in Henderson, NV. It's not far from Vegas. I used to rent a limo along with an armed driver who would accompany me when I played table games on the strip. I played poker, not against the house. You can't really win against the house, except in Black Jack and they frown on it if you're a card counter. But, if you know math and can understand people, you can make a pretty good chunk of change playing other players at Texas Hold 'Em or 5 Card Draw or even 5 Card Stud.

I used to spend quite a bit of time out there and I made bank at it. I actually considered entering some professional tournaments but then I figured they were just as smart as I was, or at least as good at understanding odds. At that point, it would have been about getting lucky cards. That's gambling on luck and not betting based on skill. So, I didn't bother.

I'd make as much as 35k or 40k during the weekends. I did a whole lot of cocaine. You're in the back, in a room just for people playing table games. So, you can do what you want.

I love probabilities, which is why I love the idea of true random. To me, these are fascinating mathematical concepts. I can do probabilities in my head and then recalculate those probabilities based on things I can know or things I can assume. This gets even easier after I've seen you bet a few hands.

I'm pretty fucking ruthless. I made a profit all but a few weekends, and when I lost those weekends I lost no more than 10k. I'd exceed that elsewhere. It was fairly lucrative but I was doing mountains of cocaine and paying for a driver that was also my body guard. I felt it important to maintain the look, as it was also intimidating. My body guard was often the same dude, so he knew how I wanted him to behave. It was all an act, where the goal was to throw people off their game by distracting them.

That worked REALLY well.

Anyhow, the house is what you'd call a McMansion. It had a walk-in freezer, which I'd kinda like to have thought of adding to this house.

The house was built by someone pretty high up in the mafia (they went to prison and I bought the house from their estate during the housing collapse that was still going on in 2008). So, I always wondered if the freezer was used for anything illegal, like storing a body or two.

At least there was cocaine in the house before you were most likely
