I would think practice can improve that
Yeah, I think we're going to spend most of the winter in Maine. My daughter is able to get some time off, in fact it's mandatory that she take time off, so they'll be able to visit a couple of times over the holiday season. I might go down for a bit, but I want to see some snow and play in it. I've got automobiles just for the winter season and I've gotta use 'em.
Cool. You will still get to spend time with the little pumpkin
I can also always change my mind and fly down. My daughter is clever. First she made sure I'd pay for the plane tickets - and then she mentioned she didn't want to fly commercial. Ah well... I don't blame her. The grandchild is still young and who knows how she'll behave on a crowded plane? Besides, they'd be cooped up in a crowded plane with all sorts of unwashed masses.
Absolutely, practice can improve upon this. If he has any complaints, start a click track and play that alongside a recording. Then, suggest they practice with something assisting their time keeping, like a click track or metronome.
There are metronome apps if they don't already own one.
