Yeah I was thinking he could probably get twice what you gave him easy if he just advertised it online
He should have been able to get 35k for it - probably in less than a week. Hell, if he put 30k on it then he'd have a dealership calling him before the end of the day.
So, I'm pretty sure I won't see him in the next couple of weeks.
They're gonna be REALLY unhappy if they call me in 15 days and want their truck back. I'd not be surprised to see/hear some complaining, but I had 'em put it in writing. I brought him 10k in crisp hundred dollar bills. He got what he asked for. If he checks back in 15 days, the price of the truck is gonna be at least 30k. I might give 'em a break and sell it to him for 25k.
A man's word is all he's really got. If he doesn't have that, he can drama queen all he wants.
LoL He should have asked for 20 days just in case
Probably. I'd have given 'em a month if he'd asked. He didn't ask. He asked for two weeks.
If he calls me during that time and asks for an extension, I'll give him a month. That's the "right" thing for me to do - with my ethics.
After that, it's definitely getting sold to someone. I don't actually want the truck. I have a fantastic luxury truck, all comfy leather and with all the bells and whistles. I can even tow a goose neck trailer with my Ram.
It'd make a good truck for Biff's brother. He's taken driver's ed but only has his permit still. He does have a Camaro that I gifted him a while back, but that's only good for summer driving. I'll sell it to him for $15k - after the mechanics have gone through it with a fine toothed comb.
