I hope everyone's had a good week. I've been invited to play bass in an Iron Maiden cover band. Has anyone here ever heard of those guys?

I've heard of IM, but never listened to any of their music.

They gave me a list. I figure if I can work up "Phantom of the Opera", maybe I'll take the job.

The bass player Steve Harris is the main songwriter and he's a monster.

No shit. That's his band. He founded it, and he writes most of the songs. That guy is the epitome of heavy metal.

According to wiki, 41 albums released, over 130 million albums sold and still goin' strong. They released an album last year that hit #1 in 27 countries.
