Hello again everyone. I hope you are all doing well.
Earlier this week my friend Chris came over and we were jamming out some songs when the two guys I had recently met and jammed with called and asked what I was doing. I told them I was jamming with my buddy Chris and they said can we come over? Hell yeah! why not?
So when they come in Chris and I are playing this song and they asked, can we join in and of course we said yeah. So the one guy jumped on the drums and the other one grabbed a guitar and we went for it.
Nicely done gentlemen !
Thanks! Not too bad for the very first time and thing we have ever played together
damn good job yaw
are yaw using amic to record or direct to pc?
jI use a bunch of mics and record to my for recording. Sometimes when it is just Chris and I playing acoustic guitars and him singing we just record on a cellphone but when there are drums and electric guitars it is so much easier to use the mixer/recorder
nice setup. just input a mic to each instrument amp or drum kit and record straight to pc? imma look it up looks nice
That's a fun song. I want to try to "show" you something. Due to previous experience, I gave most of my attention to the percussion.
When he starts, you count "1 2 3 and 4". A simple 4/4 time signature.
Well, count that but make sure YOU stay on count instead of letting the drum lead you. 'Snot necessarily easy. But, you'll notice that he drifts a bit, especially when he does his fills and steps out of the basic 4/4 count.
Now, the good news is that it was less dramatic than last time. It's there. He tends to 'race', or speed up, and it happens during his fills even more so. It's only a few slight milliseconds off at times, but it's there. He drifts faster and sometimes slower, but he mostly races.
But, again, it's a significant improvement over the last track.
Yeah he does like to speed up. But its not like we had practiced that song at all
LOL That's even less of a reason to speed up! LOL He's supposed to be the consistent one!
But, again, it's nowhere near as bad as the previous recording. So, maybe he's adjusting, practicing more, or just more confident.
