i can use my boss gt1 board and direct record to pc but thats what i get tons of latency like half a second from chord strum to sound replay and it sucks cause i like hear the other tracks while recording over each one so i can time it easier. might have to work on that sometime

Yeah thats what I am talking about. The tascam allows me to play along and play through it in real time with no lag but it is still digital and it records to an SD card which I can later plug into my laptop to add even more effects and stuff

lookup sdcard to usb. they got so many adapters one might be able to make a bat file that will simulate a usb card and let you record to pc in realtime

You can hook the tascam to a pc with usb cable
