I've been in a parade where they had the band marching behind the horses. We, the marching band, were quite pissed off about it and ended up not marching in step or in line. The lady behind it all was a stupid bitch that we'd refer to as "A Karen" in today's language.
I have been in parades like that myself. I believe that is done on purpose
